Our Inspiration

Srinivasa Aiyangar Ramanujan : (1887 • 1920)

Ramanujan was a self taught mathematician, who in course of time established himself as a one oflndia's greatest mathematical geniuses. He is known for his contribution to mathematical concepts such as number theory ,analysis of infinite series and continued fractions among others. In India December 22nd, is observed annually as 'National Mathematics day' to commemorate the the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician. Ramanujan left behind himself 3 notebooks and a bunch of papers with summaries and results with little or no proof.1729 is known as Ramanujan number. His biography titled' The man who knew infinity 'was published in 1991

Our Inspiration

G.H. Hardy (1877-1947)

He was an English mathematician known for his achievements in number theory and mathematical analysis. Starting in 1914, Hardy was the mentor of the Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, a relationship that has become celebrated.[5] Hardy almost immediately recognised Ramanujan's extraordinary albeit untutored brilliance, and Hardy and Ramanujan became close collaborators. In an interview by Paul Erdős, when Hardy was asked what his greatest contribution to mathematics was, Hardy unhesitatingly replied that it was the discovery of Ramanujan.[6] In a lecture on Ramanujan, Hardy said that "my association with him is the one romantic incident in my life"

Our Approach to Education

Fostering Unique Capabilities

of each student

Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God. we, at Hardy Ramanujan School, believe that every child comes bearing some special gifts and some innate abilities. It is manifested through their likes, actions, and learning profile. Recognizing, identifying, and fostering the unique capabilities of each student, by sensitizing teachers as well as parents to promote each student’s holistic development in both academic and non-academic spheres

Foundational Literacy and Numeracy

by all students by Grade 3

Recognising the primacy of early education, an urgent and necessary pre-requesite to learning is to make the child competent in doing meaningful reading and writing by the time they enter grade 3. We give more emphasize to develop skills among the learners to amalgamate their outside school experiences in their classroom learning to attain foundational literacy and numeracy in a better way.

critical thinking

logical decision-making

Critical thinking is the active, persistent and careful consideration of a belief or form of knowledge. It includes analysis and judgments about the ideas and conditions that support beliefs and the conclusions that follow. Critical thinking involves analyzing and evaluating one’s own thinking and that of others. It is subject to intellectual standards, including clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, significance, depth, breadth, logic, and fairness

Creative Thinking

Innovation

Creative thinking is the generation of new ideas within or across disciplines. It draws upon or breaks rules and procedures in those disciplines and actively engages students in bringing together existing ideas into new configuration; developing new properties or possibilities for something that already exists; and discovering or imagining something entirely new. Standards for judging creative thinking include originality, appropriateness, flexibility, and contribution to the domain

Life skills

communication, cooperation, teamwork, and resilience

Life skills are nothing but a set of interpersonal skills and psychological competencies that help a person solve a problem, make the right decision, think critically, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, and much more. Both teachers and parents should play an active role in teaching the students life skills. This helps them to take action or decisions in situations where their teachers or parents are not available.
